I posted a few weeks ago that Two August Mamas had a HUGE announcement. Well, It is more my announcement than AugustMama Bobbi-Lynns. We have finally gotten to where we can announce in all of our online forums.
The huge announcement is that I (AugustMama Melissa) am PREGNANT!!!
This baby was planned but we had decided to wait another year due to my car breaking down and our finances being iffy. Of course, the moment you relax about getting pregnant, is the moment that you get pregnant.
We had our first prenatal appointment on January 15th since we missed our first one on the 9th and had to reschedule. They are going by my LMP (Last monthly period) date and thus my Due/Guess Date is August 24th. Since that can be up to 2 weeks off though, we could be having a Sept baby.
I have a lot of things that I want for this pregnancy and the upcoming birth. I am making a list of things to ask my OB. Hopefully, the answers will be the ones that I need to hear. If not, I will be looking into a birth center that is close by that I have already been to a birth at.
Things have been going smooth so far. I don't have any morning sickness. If I don't eat or drink anything soon enough in the mornings, I do feel off. Seems my tummy doesn't like a lot of pressure put on it either (especially when my bladder is full). I have been drinking Yogi's Mother-to-be tea when I am not feeling well and that has helped a lot. Among other things, it has Ginger, Peppermint and Spearmint in it.

This, according to my husband, is a "faint" line. I don't think he has seen very many "faint" lines. This one is much darker than the one we had with our first pregnancy.
Excuse the state of my hair/face in this picture. I took it shortly after I had gotten up. This is my tummy right after getting a positive! December 28, which makes me about...5 weeks and 6 days along.
Here is the next picture that I have taken. 8 weeks and 4 days. I held off on taking weekly pictures till I knew when I should take them. I will take weekly pictures every Saturday!
Here is a better comparison picture. Belly pic with shirt up and my son in the background!
