I had seen this posted many many, MANY times and really wanted to try it!
I thought, it can't be that hard can it? Guess what, it WASN'T!
I think by now you have noticed that I am a bit of a foodie! I LOVE FOOD!
The best part about making this bread was the smell that permeated throughout my home. There is nothing more comforting then the smell of fresh bread baking.
Here is the method that I used while making the bread.
Ingredients:
3 1/4 cups of bread flour
1 1/2 cups of lukewarm water
1/2 tablespoon of quick rising yeast
1/2 tablespoon of salt.
~Stir water, yeast and salt together.
~ Dump flour in and mix into a shaggy wet dough.
~Let rise for 2 hours. Covered but not sealed. (I just covered the bowl with a towel. I did 1 hour in the fridge and 1 hour on the counter.)
When you are ready to bake, turn your slow cooker on high. ( I recommend preheating your slow cooker)
~sprinkle the dough with flour
~ form a ball by tucking the sides underneath.
~ Place dough onto a piece of parchment paper and lower into the slowcooker.
~ And Bake!
~ You may want to broil the top for 5 minutes in the oven for an even crispy crust.
Note: I have also added raisins(2 boxes) and cinnamon (1 tablespoon) to the recipe and it make a delicious loaf of Cinnamon raisin bread.
